the blackberry 10 q10  device features a 720 x 720 Super AMOLED 3.1 inch display, its Q10's screen is slightly larger than its touch hybrid predecessor, the Bold 9930, and sports a greater pixel density of 328ppi.
The screen itself is plenty bright and contrasty with incredible viewing angles.
The steel band around the middle and "glass weave" backplate actually gave the device a pleasantly premium feel in our hands. It was solid, well shaped and smooth to the touch without being plasticky. The 1.5GHz dual-core CPU and 2GB of RAM keep the device humming along quite smoothly. It reacted almost instantaneously to input with no hiccups.
The smaller screen size did make touch input seem a little less natural, but the ability to just start typing and search or perform actions (such as sending an email) more than made up for the slightly cramped confines.

BlackBerry Wraparound Display Phone

This BlackBerry concept smartphone includes a wraparound display which allows users to call and send texts on one side of the phone and play games and take photos on the other side.

 

Submitted by BlackBerry fan (and Industrial Designer w/ an MBA) John Anastasiadis, John's BlackBerry Concept is absolutely stunning. 

Here are the key specs/aspects of the phone as John sees them:

• Wrap around screen. This allows you to incorporate soft-keys on the underside for gaming, navigation, etc.
• The asymmetrical shape allows you to know the orientation of the phone (while holding) without having to look at it.
• There is one hard button that serves multiple functions (screen lock, picture taking, etc.)
• The phone has some artificial intelligence that can predict if you intended a command. For example, sometimes while using an iPhone it will slip out of my hand, causing me to grab for it any which way I can, thus hitting all sorts of buttons on the screen.
• The front and back cameras are behind the screen. The screen will illuminate to act as the flash.

Looks like that 13.3-inch Samsung Series 5 Ultrabook we saw honeymooning with a 'friend' in Korea is almost ready to head over to the States. JR.com has listed it as "coming soon" for $899.99 along with a spec sheet that details the same 500GB/16GB hybrid drive we saw previously, along with a Core i5-2467M serving up CPU horsepower and graphics, 4GB of DDR3, 1366 x 768 LED backlit display, a single USB 3.0 port and WiDi. The weight and dimensions seem slightly chunkier than last reported though, with thickness reaching a maximum of 0.69-inches and a weight of 3.24 pounds -- still, it's a lot more shapely than the 1TB 14-incher it left behind.

BlackBerry Shadow Concept Runs WebOS on Top of Dual Core ARM15 CPU

We all know that Research in Motion and its BlackBerry models are in deep, deep trouble, so salvation could come from either getting bought by Microsoft or buying a dying platform such as webOS. The latter was imagined by Bob Freking, who envisions a BlackBerry concept phone called Shadow, that runs HP/Palm’s webOS platform.

This model will still include functions from BB OS, BBM included here. BlackBerry Shadow runs on top of an ARM15 dual core processor at 1 GHz and it features an 8 megapixel camera with dual LED Flash. The designer mentions that this handset incorporates glow lines n the back that can read the user’s thoughts, so how cool is that? I guess this is more of a mood sensing feature than actual mind reading… Social networking is also included on the BlackBerry Shadow, as well as a 5 megapixel front camera with flash for video chat.
